New at the Library! "Read the Book, Watch the Movie". An innovative program whereupon participants will read and discuss a book, and then watch the movie version, at the library, a week or two later. Imagine the fun of comparing the freshly read novel with the movie version!

Yoga for Beginners, 2-part program, July 17 & 24

According to our instructor, Vandana Kareer, Yoga is just about the only form of exercise that is not bound by age, health, or prior physical fitness. It is for everyone! It can enhance and complement all lifestyles. Participants will gain a basic understanding of Yoga and actually feel some benefits after the first session.

Wear comfortable clothing, and bring a mat or large bath towel. It is advisable not to eat for up to an hour before the class. Oh, yes...you can also bring the desire to look and feel good!

Afternoon Movie, June 27, Shall We Dance




The Hillsborough Public Library will be showing Shall We Dance on Wednesday, June 27, at 1:00 pm. Starring Richard Gere, Jennifer Lopez, and Susan Sarandon.




Shall We Dance is another acclaimed crowd-pleaser with a sizzling all-star cast! Richard Gere plays a meek workaholic whose whole life changes when the sight of a beautiful dance instructor inspires him to break out of his mold and sign up for ballroom dancing lessons. Now, he has to keep his exciting new passion a secret from his family and friends.

Adult Summer Reading Club

The Hillsborough Public Library's Adult Summer Reading Club will begin on Monday, June 11th. To sign up, either stop by the Adult Services Desk on or after June 11th, or email us at hills@sclsnj.org, and we will email you a copy of the Adult Summer Reading Guide and reading log. As you turn in your reading logs, you will also have the opportunity to enter a raffle to win one of ten $35 Barnes & Noble Gift Certificates. The club ends on August 25th.
