Join us at the Hillsborough Public Library on Saturday, February 12 from 1:30-3:30pm for a program on Tea and Other Meals in Victorian America. The years after the Civil War ushered in many changes in the eating habits of Victorian America. Etiquette around the table became very important, tea parties were popular, and soda fountains became the social center. Celebrate Lincoln’s birthday with a warm cup of tea as local tea expert Judith Krall-Russo will detail the tea and cuisine of post Civil War society.
Registration for this program is required, but there is no cost to attend. To register, stop by or call the Adult Services Desk at 908-369-2200. Registration can also be done using the online library calendar.
