Book Discussion: World War Z, by Max Brooks. October 29, 2013, at 7:00pm

Join us for a discussion of World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War, by Max Brooks. This book was later turned into a movie starring Brad Pitt. Brooks tells the story of the world's desperate battle against the zombie threat with a series of first-person accounts 'as told to the author' by various characters around the world.

Oktober Small Business Expo. October 12, 2013, at 11:00am

Come out and support a variety of local businesses in Hillsborough to see the products and services they have to offer. Be inspired if you are thinking of joining them with your own business start-up as the township's Business Advocate, representatives from Affinity Federal Credit Union, the Small Business Development Center, and SCORE will be available. Pheasants Landing will add a festive Oktoberfest touch.
Complimentary prizes and giveaways will be offered as well as refreshments! Look for further info in the September Small Business Expo brochure.

Pilates: Six-Week Series. Starting October 7, 2013, at 7:00pm

Join us for a six week series. Pilates is a low-impact exercise. Anyone can do it and the benefits are endless. Pilates can help your flexibility, develop long, lean strong muscles, flatten the stomach, strengthen the back, and improve posture.

Meet the author of the novel The Last Newspaperman, Mark DiIonno.

Meet Mark DiIonno, for a thought provoking talk about the role of the media and how reporting has become the crime saturated and celebrity obsessed media we have today. Learn about some fascinating real life events that took place in New Jersey in the 1920s and 1930s which led to the birth of tabloid journalism, and how Charles Lindbergh became the first 'celebrity' to be hounded by the press.

Do you want to "Go Green", but don't know where to start? Learn how conservation, efficiency and the use of renewable energy can save you money while you live a more sustainable life. Local photographer Walter Choroszewski is New Jersey proud and celebrates the state's contributions to American cinema and television - from Edison's Black Maria Studio to the numerous Jersey-born artists that have starred on the big and little screens. Katherine Woodfield Hermes, a Health Insurance Consumer Advocate will present a program for those interested in or confused by health care reform, insurance exchanges or The Patient Protection and the Affordable Care Act. Insurance is supposed to protect you from financial disaster, not cause it. Katherine will show consumers how to make sense of this confusion.
